I think you already are seeing it effect the life span of B4B. I guess ultimately what I am getting at is L4D did a much better job at making it a pleasant social gaming experience vs B4B. Just a lot of toxic people from the console environment. It seems like the cross play crowd just doesnt take things nearly as seriously as the PC gamers. I think it also has to deal with the cross play. I have noticed that if people stray off in B4B they are not as "screwed" as you would be in L4D. Released in October 2021, Back 4 Blood is a Left 4 Dead -like zombie shooter developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the team behind the first Left 4 Dead. I havent figured it out yet but for some reason the communication just doesnt get drawn out of the players nearly as much as in L4D. However it had a better ambiance and fostered a lot more communication. The game was simpler and the graphics werent nearly as nice. However L4D just did a better job at the overall game experience. Players will simply have to keep themselves busy with the maps and survivors already in the game.Personally I think L4D is better. It will remain playable in its current state, but there are no longer significant updates on the way. Still, those currently playing Back 4 Blood will likely be disappointed by the lack of ongoing support for the game. Oh, and uncommon infected to add a tiny spice of gameplay. That said, it’s led by a talented team of games industry veterans – founders Chris Ashton and Phil Robb previously worked on Command & Conquer, Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead, and other hits – so there are high hopes for a new chapter. Left 4 Dead 2 came out in 2009 and had a league of maps, some new weapons, another set of iconic and memorable survivors, a change in tone for daytime action, and three new enemies, to turn a roster of 3 specials and 2 bosses into 6 specials and 2 bosses.
